There was a problem for a short time, prior to verson 5.0 I think, where the “Best” setting in Sequence Settings/ Video Processing/Motion Filtering Quality was broken. Try setting that to either “Fastest” or “Normal” and see if that fixes the problem.

It’s probably your cables. Check that first.
Have you tried mixing it to mono in the mixer first, and then sending out the mono signal to the Kona?

Welcome to the club! This has been happening to me consistantly since version 1.0, and I’m now on 5.1.4.

For a project of this length it is unnecessary to use VBR, and you are possibly sacrificing quality. Use CBR instead, set at 7.2-7.5.

If you want to post a Flash video on a web site, do you need anything else besides Episode or Sorenson? Is the player included in the program?

Thanks Jerry. Just what I was looking for……unless the software I’m demoing only runs on Windows. I don’t know that yet; I just want to be prepared. Any thoughts on that? I couldn’t run both simultaneously on an Intel Mac, could I?

There is a device that can fairly effectively remove the vocal from a recording as long as it is a stereo recording and the vocal is center-channel. This is a hardware device. I’m not sure if there is a software solution for this.

Yeah, it does that to me as well. Try setting to Log & Capture” instead of “Edit”
    That works for me.
