Greetings; after upgrading to FCP6, whenever placing a keyframe on the Viewer’s timeline with the levels at 8, the levels drop one dB every time.

Also annoying is the behavior of the Pen tool; even with snapping turned off, it still ‘is drawn’ to nearby things…

I’m doing a lot of audio keyframing at it’s really bugging me. Anyone have a fix?

    Cheers,

Welcome to the club! This has been happening to me consistantly since version 1.0, and I’m now on 5.1.4.

I do my audio keyframing in the timeline. You can work even at small views by holding down the cmd key which moves the increments in 1 db as you move the mouse up and down.

I haven’t had the “drawn” issue, but sometimes when adding a keyframe with the pen tool it does jump to a lower db. I undo, take note of the db, then add the keyframe and bring it back up. It’s been that way since day one like many problems with the interface that seem to get left behind for new features – or lack thereof in FCP 6. Still not sure why I upgraded to 6. I feel like I drank some kool aid.
