Me too… I pretty much come here now specifically to read stuff by folks who know what they’re doing, and try to help folks with genuine questions. The rest just provides comic relief. 😉

Yep, but despite it’s shortcomings I really like where X is going. I Have PrCC, MC, and 7 on my machine. It’s sorta painful to use any of those 3 these days… Really looking forward to whatever Apple has in store for the next version. 🙂

🙂 The problem is that people believe everything they read on the internet, or that they use X but don’t bother to learn, or just play around and figure out, how it works. Maybe they’re looking for it to match to and reveal the instance of the clip that’s in the multicam clip timeline or something? Who knows. There are plenty of other NLE’s to choose from, they should move on…

I had a recent email exchange with marquis tangentially related to this topic. The most interesting bit of info I got from them was “(we can’t comment on) …future products, but just so you’re aware we are in discussions with Apple.”

Have 2 R-6 boxes, running pretty much 24/7 for 2 years… sharing media over E-net with 5 users. Had 1 drive fail about 6 months ago. Ran it degraded for about 5 days (no problems), popped in a new drive, painless rebuild and all good. Upside is we got a replacement drive from the vendor we purchased from, I sent the old one to Western Digital (was under warranty) and they shipped a new one, so we got a “free” spare. 🙂

Umm, it’s a couple guys doing an acoustic cover. What technology are you talking about? Other than the video quality and a decent recording, this was being done by countless cover bands the week that song first hit the charts…
