From what I am hearing, the swing is way too wide for a set rate per episode. The time, and time is money, can range from a few hours to many hours. How do you put a set rate on that?
I personally wouldn’t even quote on it. Take it as an hourly job.

[jim] “I’m still seriously in the learning mode, so please don’t consider me an expert…”

Jim, I’ve been in the Television production business for over 43 years, and I am still learning. Never, ever, ever, quit learning. When you do, it’s time to get out.

If you don’t need a lot of EQ or external effects on your output, which you really shouldn’t, then you should be able to work fine with that arrangement.
Start with a field mixer, and if you find you need more, down the road get something bigger.

[Rap] “I cant play mono, meaning when I adjust the audio tracks to both to left or both to right or both to mid I don get sound , its very very low”

To me, this sounds like a phasing problem. Make sure all of your audio wires are hooked up correctly. Maybe you need to check speakers for phasing also if you can access them to do so.

This is all I can think of off hand for what you are describing.

  • Well, this sounds good, I hope everything continues to go well and you stay free of further developments. akes my creative burnout that kept me off work for a while seem very trivial. I fully understand the no more long hours in the edit bay concept.

Glad to see your posts again. Keep plugging. And happy to have you back.

    Nina,
Dennis said whjat I said, he just said it better. More important than compression is quality of color, video, and audio levels.

I’m not as familiar with XPro, but if like any other, you do it in the time line.
Maybe someone more familiar with XPro can help more.
