    If you don’t need a lot of EQ or external effects on your output, which you really shouldn’t, then you should be able to work fine with that arrangement.
    Start with a field mixer, and if you find you need more, down the road get something bigger.

    I have been so disgruntled with the quality of the audio coming from my mixer (stereo mini jack) into my computer that I upgraded to the Studio Complete system. Now I use the Digi 002 mixer to go firewire into the computer for audio, bypassing the analog in entirely.

    There are other options to do this, but Studio Complete is great for me because of all the other resources it adds (like AvidDVD).
