  • Are you using the same media?
    Are you labeling the discs?
Have you re-tried a disc that worked before in the problem player?

Back a few months ago, my 4 yr. old computer died and nothing I could do to save it so I found an experienced pro in my area who made house calls. Prior to his arival I vacumed out the cpu with a soft brush attachment and thought I got quite a bit out. The first thing he did when he arrived, was to take my cpu outside on my driveway and useing my leaf blower blew out a huge cloud of dust. I was a little concerned about using a leaf blower, but he said he’s been doing it for years on every cpu he fixes. He said it’s a good thing I don’t smoke and my office was neat, or it would have been much worse.

One nice thing about “Render to a new track” is, if you don’t change any portion of it, when you render your whole project that portion will render very fast. If you find you have to make a change to any portion of a “Render to a new track”, then just “slice out” the bad part, and then “Render to a new track” the whole section of video to make a full video. Then you can delete the first “Render to a new track” that you made that had the error.

How about a thought I had after posting……
Find a good quality still shot on a night sky on the web, then use a slow pan/scan? If you don’t need the actors in the shot, this is what I’d try.
