Thanks….I will try. The the EDL is for a future film shot on HD CAM originally, DV offline is almost done in FCP and will be onlining in Avid DS nitris. And I got lots of speed changes. God help me.

Mpeg stream clip does not do it. It only “demuxes” the clips…

which is what your system requires.
Avid is not my system…My system is FCP for years. Avid is more popular in the industry I work, so I have to work with it from time to time and I discover some advantages in Avid, which I wished FCP had them. But,still FCP has more advantages over Avid.

I don’t think it’s the same thing, when you nest items and apply an effect to it, you loose control of individual parameters of individual clips. I know you can always make cuts to achieve this. But would it not be an extra work. For instance, adding letter box effect to all clips, if you nest it how are you gonna re-arrange some of clips frame off-set, without double clicking the nested clip to open the original sequence, which is again an extra job, not mentioning you do not see the letter box effect and guessing how much to adjust frame off-set.

Not only the output device….Also the video on the canvas or in the viewer is out of sync with audio exactly for 4 frames…
