What version to upgrade? I got 5.0.4 and it seems to be the last free upgrade avaliable for 5.0

Thanks. However There is no such set up as “HDV 720p25” in FCP. Thats the issue I guess.

I work with Pal system. Someone showed me the way how it’s done. You import flex files in Cinematolls then export it as batch list. Then import that batch list inside FCP and capture. And if you wanna edit 24 you choose all clips then go to tools and chose “conform 25- 24″ and choose a sequence preset ” DV Pal 25 @24” then edit….So here What I need to know is For each lab roll,so that for each flex file , should I open a new data-base? Other thing is that The lab is asking “cmx 3600 edl” instead of cit list. Why? Thank you very much..

35 mm. Tele-cine dailies come in with DV cam along flex file….edit on FCP then cut list to the lab…Thank you very mcuh

Not a lot of details in your post.”The project is being shot on 35 mm film and telecine dailies come on dv (25 fps) and with flex file. will be edited on 24 fps. Finishing will be on film. I have been using FCP for years but never done a film project before. I need the explanation of the workflow. thank you very much

Well I desperately need the same answers of the question asked above. I will study the cinema tools manual very closely but isn’t there a standard workflow that summarizes it?

Did you check your export settings? You have to choose “RGB+Alfa” and “Millions of colors +” then when you import it to Avid , in the import preferences , You should choose “invert existing..

if it’s an interview ( a person sitting on a chair and just talking) that means your object is not moving much, you most likely don’t need to modify the mask frame by frame, which is for moving objects.
