ok i figured out how to cut the size i want but now i tried all the blur video effects and none of them seem to do what i want. is there a diffrent effect that will make the surrounding colors blend in the part of the frames that are cut out. thanks

ok, im using the cookie cutter but i cant seem to get the cutout part wide enough with out making it way to tall. and it ends up covvering way more of the screen then i want it to. so bascilly how do i make it wider with out making the cutout taller. thanks

no my dvr cant make dvds, but what i have found out is that i can just encode the file into a .vob, with ffmpeg, then vegas doesnt have a problem. that prgram does a pretty good job, but now im wondering if there is a better program out there to convert it? thanks

ya i know its not the best format, but i think thats what the format is on my dvr so thats what i end up with after the capture. ill try what you said to do, thanks.

i have an audigy 2 platinum sound card, but i dont capture audio with it, the video/audio is all captured through the firewire cable.

no i dont have a dv camera, im gonna get a converter once i get the money but for right now its just the ati card.
