Video Streaking?
Posted by Cdmanproductions on January 24, 2006 at 11:56 amfor some reason when i caputre with vegas there are streaking lines. the quality of the video is awsome but there are streaking lines. not sure why but hopefully someone will know. thanks

January 24, 2006 at 12:21 pmif i caputre 320 x 240 the video is fine but not as clear. when i capture 640 x 480 thats when i get the streaks but the video quality is amazing. thanks

its captureg to i guess dv-avi, there isnt an option it change it and the caputred file is a very large avi file.

January 24, 2006 at 4:40 pmYou’re not capturing DV. The CARD is processing the video (you’re truly “capturing” where using firewire is actually “copying”). To compare sizes, DV-AVI is about 13Gig/hour. How big are your files?
Do you have a MiniDV camera? If yes, switch to firewire.
If you have to input via something else (i.e VHS VCR or some other input) then strongly consider hooking that to a convertor and still capture via firewire. I’m still betting that the source of your problem is the ATI card.

January 24, 2006 at 4:53 pma 5 to 7 min video takes up over 4 gigs of space, that is if i captureing 640 x 480. but it streaks when capture at that resolution.
