Well, I know Walter and David are all going to bash me again, but FCP 7 is the best running version I have ever loaded on my G5 2×2.5 PPC. I use ProRes and ProResHQ for capture thru a LA AJA Box. If you want to know more, just drop me a private message at my email address

I kept getting the drop frame message and it all turn out to be the FCP Viewer. Click Fit to Window and see if it goes away. For me I felt silly, not trying that first.

The thing that bothers me is the so called experts attitudes, they have in postings, they may answer. By doing this needed move, these experts will be more impowered in thinking how much better they are.
As I read this post, the comments about heavies and reality expermental are just the undertones that many members feel, that aren’t in your little circle. COWS inception was to help others, not make fun of them.
Sorry, if I stepped on toes, am not trying to upset anyone, but I post little, but read allot. I see this happening numerous times, so maybe the experts need some internal filtering within themselves, at times, also. The experts have done a great job on this forum and I hope they continue, but remember where we all came from.
