I see you have listed QT 7.4.5, which was just released. Did you find somewhere, where it said it was certified to be used with FCP. I couldn’t find anyone saying to upgrade, which allot of the times can be an issue? Am still using 7.3.1 with no issues and Leopard.

    My two cents worth

I also experienced the same problem that BigRon has described, once upgrading to FCP6. I never got this error in the past under the 5.xx version. I playback umcompressed at 20,3MB/sec with no issues. Now it won’t play back unless I turn off the Canvas window. Under FCP 6, it only plays from the timeline to my NTSC monitor. Prior to the upgrade to 6, it played just fine in the Canvas window and the NTSC.

I also received the same error message, BigRon listed in his original post. Is there anyone out there with an answer why now under FCP 6 it no longer works. Before I ditch FCP6 and go back to 5.1.4

I also use a G5 Dual Processor with 8GB RAM and 3TB of disk space

Did anyone find the place where this can be set at:::::

New Playhead-Centered Zooming Commands in the Timeline

Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 includes three commands for playhead-centered zooming and navigation in the Timeline:

    * Zoom In on Playhead in Timeline: Keeps the Timeline playhead centered while zooming in (regardless of the selection in the Timeline).
    * Zoom Out on Playhead in Timeline: Keeps the Timeline playhead centered while zooming out (regardless of the selection in the Timeline).
    * Scroll to Playhead: Horizontally scrolls the Timeline so that the playhead is centered in the window.
