Motion v2 from mt. mograph does a bunch of those things and more. It changes anchor (with keyframes, granted its only for sides/corners (90% usage)). It handles copying multiple keyframes, it cleans project, it handles influences, it has most of the basic simple tricks we use with expressions such as bounciness, ropes, orbits and such. It a must have for any AE user.

Duik is great for simple things too. It does a lot of the same things Motion does, but it also helps.

    rd_compsetter.

    CopyMask2Layer.

    Flow.

    ExplodeShapeLayers.

Those are all quality of life scripts/plugins/extensions that I use during a day’s work.

    I’m guessing that’s a specific software.

To link data into AE, first we need to know what kind of data and how its presented.

    Two things:

Rendering 12 layers of video should not take long (presuming you have a fast read on those files)

Masking out those parts could potentially increase render times, since it has to process the file then layer out (in the render stack pipeline) the cropped file.

Yes, The only masks needed are loose lines that separate the right bg and the left chair. The rest is keyable. Since you’re changing a low sat midtone, her skin wont be affected. neither will the highlights and shadows.

I say that for that specific footage. I hanven’t seen whichever action she does on the others of that same series (If any).

Nonetheless I’d still need to see a final look for the color you want to change to. Maybe the visual won’t be achieved with just what I’m expecting.

I very much doubt so. The chair and the sweater have the exact same HSL values. You can’t auto select one without the other. At least one roto for that is needed. I’d avoid automatic rotoscoping here since there are no clear edges. I’d mask her entirely then add the skin back on top (with a sat key).

I’m assuming copying pasting the texts to a single text layer somehow doesn’t work for you? (just making sure you have considered it)

In the english version of AE that effect he applied is called Warp.

  • I believe you’re just over-complicating things. If you have any access to the hands position prior to any exportation you can just export that to any format that AE can read. For example I work in C4D, If I had a hand animated in C4D that I’d want to attach something I’d just create a child null (to the hand) in C4D and add an external object tag. AE can directly read the file and import the coordinates. I’m sure blender has a way to export PSR to AE. You don’t actually need to involve anything with E3D before that.

After that just load the sequence, import the gun object, create a null for the gun (with E3D’s shortcut button) shift parent that to the imported null’s PSR.

There is nothing wrong with that project. You’re just being too attentive to details there.

That judder is being caused by the combination of the layer’s velocity and your FPS amount. To reduce you could try to change the speed, even increasing the movement may easy it a bit.

But that is extremely normal, I’m betting your client won’t even notice it after all the post is added to that comp. Once you color correct, add a bit of noise, and maybe some texture/color bleeds to the whole shot (anything that reduces the overall contrast) it won’t even be perceivable to our trained eyes.

My advice, after having strained ages with rolling credits, is to just go with it. Its fine as it is.

    PT-BR: (I hope that’s what you speak).

    EN:
On most low cost productions, we shoot the hand in green screen, we just simulate the drawing while positioning the pen’s tip as its being revealed . From you description I see you’re either actually drawing or you’re just shooting the gestures on white. Is that it? If that’s the case, depending on the lightning, you could generate a key for the hand and avoid rotoscoping.
