Deform effect missing in After Effects cc 2019
Posted by Joe Blaxland on March 20, 2019 at 4:09 pmHello,
I have just watched a tutorial in which the deform effect is used to apply deformation to a bouncy ball. When I search through the effects it doesn’t seem to be there. Can anyone help please?

March 20, 2019 at 4:36 pmi’ve never seen that effect before, might be a plug in used in the tutorial. There are a lot of ways to squish a bouncy ball though you’ll probably have luck experimenting with other effects.

March 20, 2019 at 4:52 pmDitto for me – can you attach a link to the tut.? “Deform” is a pretty broad description and could be an effects category. AE would probably narrow the name down to something more descriptive if it was an effect. But it might be a third party one. Its not one of the original Cult effects is it? before adobe rolled most of them into AE (and maybe changed its name?)

March 21, 2019 at 12:20 pmI have done a screen recording of the pertinent part of the tutorial. When the instructor is speaking (in English) he uses the word distort to describe the effect.
