Yes, if you do as Roland suggested, your video won’t stutter…It’s relatively simple to understand. If you leave as 30fps, in a 25fps comp. It can only display 25f in every sec, so every 5frames it will skip one, hence the jump.

keep in mind that if it was the opposite, you can keep a 25fps clip in a 30fps comp, and turn on frame blending(AE will try to interpolate) to eliminate the jumps while maintaining the duration.

If you’re not using a matte, theres no interaction between them. What you’re seeing is just the layer order in the timeline, your particular layer is above the element layer. If you put it bellow, Element 3d will ALLWAYS be on top.

You have to understand that this plugins act as if they were 3d, but in AE’s 3d space they are treated as 2d layers.

  • Where does this logo came from? Can’t you break it apart in its creation software and import separated pieces so you can be free to do whatever you want?

But as Dave said, if you can recreate the dots in AE, you’ll probably have a better control.

Copying and pasting an animation (scale maybe) between layers, then sequencing them gives a way better look than any stroke reveal effect IMO.

you can use the Voronoi shatter script to break your footage in any number of pieces, then you can use Mask to Layers script to get a layer per mask, then if newton supports masks you’re ready to go, otherwise you’ll have to create shapes from the masks.

It could be more than one reason. Are you using a matte? from what? Do you see this happening only in front view, or with a camera viewing from the front?

[Shashank Holla] “is there anyway to extract depth pass from particular?”

You should go the other way around… use the matte capabilities of element 3d. But if you can’t manage with the inverse. You can try to pull out a matte from particular using lights with a full white particle and enabling it’s shading option (luma matte). Or using a null to drive the far and near vanish values within visibility.

There is no built in function as I know of.

Some effects render prior and above everything else, You’ll have to precompose the layer with the mask, and apply timewarp to that precomp.

  • where are you saving the project to? Is it local? On big projects I saw that time being long as it needs to save and load your project on other processes.

What I usually do when I want to preview just a couple of frames is to use space bar…let it build up, then ram preview. Though not using multiprocessing, I don’t have to wait 15s to preview 10 frames that take 10s to render.

there is a script anyway…a pretty good one, called rift. Check it out later if you get the chance.

AE version? any use of raytrace?

You said you can RAM preview it all in 1 min? It should take the same amount to render. Unless some motion blur or frame blending is kicking in for render. What are you rendering it to? Have you tried changing the output location and format?
