Steve, I finally, by trial and error, figured it out.

Again, thank you for your input.

Steve, thanks for the link/tutorial. However, I have gotten that far on my own. What I’m looking for is actually a tutorial which shows/describes recording an audio track, panning on the fly/realtime movement of the sound, being able to see the recording’s waveform in process.

    Any suggestions?

John, I’ve done exactly what your tutorial directed, but where the two images overlap (center), that verticle overlap is much lighter. There’s no way (that I can try) that blends the two images to show at the same luminous value.

John, thanks your your quick reply with a tutorial. But, that’s not what I’m after. I didn’t mention anything about using a green screen.

What I do want is to have my project video display two moving images across the screen, side by side but the center overlap so both show/crossfade.

Do you have a tutorial or scenario for that?

In fact, anyone, please chime in.

Thayalan, IF you have SVP 11 or 12, there are tutorials. In Vegas Pro’s top menu bar, click HELP. There you’ll find basic tutorials.

If you don’t have either SVP 11 or 12 currently, you can download the trial version and play with it to get the feel of it. Then, find some tutorials (below) which will start you on the right track.

Also, go to Sony’s website: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/training

    On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctjmL4Klq-0

If you have a specific question about 3D editing, just post here in the Cow. John Rofrano has some webinars on the Sony site too.

  • Stephen, thank you for your response. Adding the actual part and # was a plus, many thanks.

  • John, no Mic is being used. Music from the amp’s line out to my Sony Handycam TD10 3D videocam. Mic input.

Will there be too much power through the cable into the mic input?

    Thanks for your initial response.

I want to “chime in” on this SPLIT issue. Steve, I want to thank you (and also John Rofrano) for bring this script to light.

What a terrific shortcut. Yes, it DOES save us from clicking an extra icon to do a task. Sometimes I forget to “unclick” the “ignore” button and that itself creates more work in correcting the issue. So, YES, this script is invaluable to all of us.

    Thanks again guys!

And, Merry Christmas to all of you
