This is probably way premature, but does anyone know if the Vegas boffins will be working with Microsoft to ensure that all Vegas versions will transition smoothly when Windows 10 comes out in July?
You have all probably received the same invitation I have to upgrade for free to the new windows version, but I am wary about doing so on the computer on which my Vegas resides.
    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Bruce

On May 15 of this year in the Catalyst Production Suite thread on the Sony Vegas forum, Sony said:

We remain committed to our craft editor Vegas Pro, releasing build 444 on April 6th which added expanded XAVC support and addressed some defects. We’re not done – currently we’re working on addressing some specific camera model firmware issues, Windows 10 support, and more.

A few users on that forum have already tried Vegas with Windows 10 and have been successful. I take that as good news 🙂

Vegas will run smoothly when Windows 10 is officially released.
Users are even already running Vegas on Windows 10.

Vegas will also be updated for 10 soon. So there is nothing to worry about.

Let me chime in here. I’ve been using Windows 10 since October 2014 with NO issues. I am using Vegas Pro 12.

The only issues one might run into is audio (PCIe card) drivers. Check with your manufacturers support to read if they will issue a driver for your specific card. In my case, late October 2015 my Creative SB X-Fi driver will be released.

Some USB peripherals will not work with Windows 10 (per Microsoft’s website) upon release, July 29th. I’m sure, at a later date, issues will be resolved.
