Usually the Suites are loaded by the Master Setup app so you can choose what you want to load and only need to enter the software key once and do a blanket activate, if you load the apps individually each one would be could be standalone and require seperate attention for activation, would be best to contact Adobe on that or take thje effort to download the suite again if still available and you have a fast provider

Have you checked the Harddrive the apps are on for hardware errors you may have some flaky sectors

The EULA allows the installation on 2 computers as long as they aren’t used at same time, for instance one base computer and a laptop for travel, or one at work and one for use at home, etc.
After loading the new computer you have 30 days to activate, if you want to test the new computer before xfering the activation have all the updates downloaded and manually load them and keep the new machine off the net till you are ready to unactivate the old one or you will have two activations -

There are pros and cons for both, Mpeg2 gives a little better results particularly with motion but results in larger files, H264 saves space but can have some artifacts with motion, another thing is what market will you address, if limited where you know what players will be used as Mpeg2 will play in all players not discounting possible problems with media, type of burner, etc, not all players will handle H264 particularly older models.

When you said the back I thought you were refering to the I/O ports, the small port is probably a test port, someone from BM probably could comment.

What happens sometimes is some popular shows are still shot in 4:3 with high quality cams, and through the studio switching which does up scaling you have a 4:3 program going out as a pillar boxed 1080 or 720 and simulcasted as 480 DTV, maybe this is what they are trying emulate.
