With SweepNurbs you can use a rail spline (a third spline inside the SweepNurb) to control the scale of the spline being swept along the other one. You can’t control (change) the shape though. LoftNurbs might be better since you can control shape and size with the splines you put into the Loft.

I’m guessing you are going to want to push this farther than is going to be possible with an extruded spline. I’d probably scan the letters and model by them hand (using a HyperNurb for smoothness) if you do need a ’round all over’ look like the drawing seems to indicate

I haven’t had much time but one way or the other the two ends of the trailer have to move together (movement in the direction of travel) and separately (movement caused by the rotation of the cab – the front should move ‘sideways’, the back should not) it’s either make the trailer from two (or more) rectangle splines lofted or bones with FK and IK maybe. I should be able to put up some tests tomorrow.

Merge instead of Open is your quick answer, also check out XRef objects in the Help

can’t test until tomorrow but I’m guessing the train stuff works because the train cars, while they do have two sets of wheels, have one effective rotational center point since they are on tracks so it’s easier to fake. The truck trailer has an attachment at the front, the rotational center at the rear and the rear wheels want to go forward/backwards but not sideways….

Looks great, the background color goes well with the logo, nicely laid together. If I was going to change anything it would be to back off on the reflection, it competes with the ‘real’ name and logo. Maybe some dispersion (expensive in render time) and/or just setting the slider lower, it looks like Reflection Brightness is up around 100, try 50 or lower.

select the points you want set to zero and in the Coordinate Manager set both X Position and X Size value to 0.

with simple booles you can you can just bevel the intersection edge, with slightly more complex booles you can scale the ‘inner’ part of the boole down a bit and extrude the edges out a bit and Stitch them together and Bevel that but anything too complex is hard.

how do you want the oscillation to be? All together? A pattern running down the lights (assuming they are linear)? Random?
