Thanks for the advice guys. Any idea how the camera you mentioned compares image wise to the 7D? I keep hearing a lot of good things about it and know that some video folks are shooting weddings with 7Ds only. I wonder if the footage would look ok if cut together with footage from the XH-A1s cameras I have?

The issue I’m noticing isn’t with the speed of the zoom, it’s the speed in which the zoom kicks in once I push the controls.

it took me a while to try this out, but it worked great. Just have one issue…not sure if it’s playlist related or not.

I have an Encore project with a scene selection menu. There are 16 different text items to choose from, each with a button to the left that I created in Photoshop. It’s just a white triangle with a transparent background. The background of the menu itself is black. The way I have my menu color set set up, the white triangle button moves around as you roll your mouse over the different selections. You only see one triangle at a time, depending on which item you roll over. If you click any of the triangles to activate the link, all 16 of them flash white at the same time just before it begins to play the video. Know of a way to make it where you don’t see all the buttons there at the end?

PS: Each button links to a chapter playlist, and each chapter playlist has just one chapter in it like you suggested. It’s dance numbers from a show that you can play individually as opposed to the “play all” option from the main menu.

    Thanks for your help, Jeff.

I’d like for each scene selection (dance number) to play through and then go back to the scene selection menu.

There will also be a play all option. I’m guessing the chapter marker end actions mess me up here?

It just changed to “in stock” status since yesterday. Thanks for looking.

It’s a full version. I wonder what gives?

It says that it’s an MPEG2 and that I have the codec installed. In Windows Media Player it play strangely, kind of like double vision. I tested the file on a different computer and it plays fine. Still can’t import it into Premiere Pro, though.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone have a list of differences between these two cameras? I’ve had my eye on the XH-A1 and am wondering if it’d be worth it to get the A1S with the price difference.

Thanks! It worked perfectly. I can see how shooting that way allows for more flexibility with the black levels. Any idea what camera settings would cause the footage to be grayish like that?
