    Hi all,

I’m putting together a video for a friend’s church and she sent me a video file via YouSendIt to include. It’s an .avi file, but when I try to import it into Premiere Pro 1.5 it says it’s an unsupported format. Anyone have any thoughts? The file is only 16mb and I’d really appreciate if anyone can help me get it working. Thanks!

Its probably an avi with an excotic codec like divx.
Run the file through GSpot and see if the codec is installed.

It says that it’s an MPEG2 and that I have the codec installed. In Windows Media Player it play strangely, kind of like double vision. I tested the file on a different computer and it plays fine. Still can’t import it into Premiere Pro, though.

If you are on a trial mpeg is not supported.

It’s a full version. I wonder what gives?
