Your digital audio world is still intact … you are safe at 0db. I just finished a documentary in which there were almost 80 interviews, and it was placed in a 2-DVD case, both DVDs were dual layer DVD-9s … over 4 hours of material, and it all sounded extremely crisp and sharp … of course, all interviews were shot with a Schoeps CM4 mic, a very sweet sounding mic … so don’t sweat setting your levels at 0db. Trust your ears more than technical specifications.

Why are they mov files? Why don’t you make them JPEGs and see if that works.

It is impossible to answer your question without knowing how good you are or how fast you are . . .

Exactly how long is it taking? 3.5 hours of HD is a LOT of material. It is no small miracle that Encore can even handle it, but it can.
You’ll have to be like Job and have patience.

Atom, you are right . . that is terrible quality . . you will not get many gigs with that demo . . in this day and age, you should be shooting HD for Blu Ray release . . view my vimeo clip here that I shot with my Sony EX3. I am an editor, not a cameran, but I think the camera work and lighting is acceptable:

Yes, I’ve tried that, but it highlights simultaneously with the highlighted border. I want it to come on later ONLY when clicking to choose a chapter.

Do I have to export Premiere timeline via Media Encoder in order to import it into Encore?
