    Hi there,

I’m stupefied by a problem in CS5 I’m struggeling with
some clips which I cannot join by a “dip to black” or any other transition (not even a simple crossover). The transition is simply ignored.

    What I’ve tried:
    1) The two clips were admittedly large stills (2000pix * 1800 pix). As there are known issues with the stills handling I exported them into a mov and wanted to join them with the transition. I also exported as DV. Both times no luck in joining the resulting files with a transition. transition does not play
    2) I restarted the program: no luck
    3) I rebooted: no luck
    4) I can place a working transition at other places in the timeline.

    I’m at a loss

    Greetings Johannes

Is this to say….you can apply the transition on the sequence, but it has no effect?

Why are they mov files? Why don’t you make them JPEGs and see if that works.
