We mic non-musical plays with PZM mics around the periphery of the floor of the stage.

I much prefer the quality of the wireless “body mcs” on the actors, but when that is not done, the PZM mics work for OK the job.
We use an audio operator to open and close the mics as the actors change location on the stage.
It will be a much more “off-mic” sound than the “body-mic” set-up, but using an experienced
audio operator (in ANY kind of live stage play) will make a huge difference in the quality of the sound you’ll pick up from the actors. -
Did you take the lens cap off?

Before you go out on a shoot, set up some lights and send the output of the camera into a properly adjusted CRT monitor and adjust the LCD to closely match the CRT’s “look.”
Pay special attention to the image in the darker areas.

A basic WORKAROUND would be to adjust and correct the aspect in the Motion Tab on the FIRST image…
Then, COPY that, select all of the rest of the images in the timeline, and PASTE ATTRIBUTES in one command, to all of them.

Lay the second scene clip on the video track above the first one.
Use Motion Tab effects to crop the top clip down the center.

AC powered gear does not become “damaged” by reversing the outlet power plug wires.
For decades, many amps had a built-in switch that did just that to allow for the elimination of ground loops.
You obviously would not want to send the “AC hot” up the green ground wire, but swapping the white and the black won’t “cook” the gear.
If you’ve lost gear over the years, I wouldn’t suspect swapped white and black wires to your power regulators as the reason.

I built what I needed for an adapter for about $8 (US).Can’t buy a Beachtek for that amount.
If you don’t really need the level controls, etc,
A passive XLR-to-1/8 inch stereo plug is pretty easy to build.
