Is it possible to build a Beachtek like unit ?

Yes, it can be done relatively easily, but it is beyond the scope of what can be described on a bulletin board.

Why in the world would you build one when they are so inexpensive? Plus, if you go to their website, they have B-Stock and Refurbished units for half price.

If you want to discuss price-
I built what I needed for an adapter for about $8 (US).Can’t buy a Beachtek for that amount.
If you don’t really need the level controls, etc,
A passive XLR-to-1/8 inch stereo plug is pretty easy to build. -

I am very surprised that there is no blueprint on how to make this type of equipment on the web. We can find for Kit mini35 an so, but not for this.
