You know, you never told us which mics you have.
Sounds like an “open” shield on the mics or the camcorder.
Take all involved to a local technician and see that the tech can find,

I like to create the “self-contained” QT files.
Because it can be found outside the program (in FCP) as a stand-alone QT movie (a name can be assigned to it and I like that feature.
Its a sort of on-drive filing system (external from FCP) for often-used produced video clips and animated backgrounds.
A nest CAN get inadvertently altered and it’s render file has a default name on the disk.

There is nothing better in low light.

Blow the debris off the lens frequently.

TC is just a set of numbers assigned to locating frames on a tape.
DF and NDF on sources do not matter.
The Timeline can be either NDF or DF and it will remain independent of the sources.

Depends on the kind of HUM.
But start with (are you ready?) the “Hum Remover” filter.
Try removing the various “harmonics” and listen to how it sounds after each change.
