If all is well, material on YouTube is de-interlaced.
That means that your ‘normal’ video runs at 60 FIELDS a second,
but the YouTube stuff runs at 30 FRAMES a second.
(as there is no time difference between the fields due to the de-interlacing)
That makes a bit of a ‘strobe’ look, but not ‘jittery’

So, you don’t have to do any de-interlacing / flicker fixing, unless the YouTube uploader made a mistake.
But since the video is scaled when uploading to YouTube, there is no way you can fix interlacing artefacts, as the fields are no longer one line high.

If you want TC in your original (or copies) H264 material,
use this:

You can also use it with transcoded material. (If you want to transcode outside FCP, aa lots of people do.)
For that, keep the filename the same or longer, and let the .thm files travel with the new clips, then run QTchange on the new clips.

Procoder retains TC if you use that for transcoding.

And, as a bonus, it can add ‘burned in’ TC without transcoding.
(read, very fast)

What bytes do you want to repair if you got zero?

For a start this is IT work to get at least some data.
After that, if it is a corrupt clip, use Audacity to read it as raw data.

I don’t quite get it.
Are you the picture editor or sound editor?
If there is another (picture) editor, talk with him about what is handy for the both of you. If not, start by deciding what you would like yourself and start looking for ways to make that possible.
There are tons of logging applications out there (I myself coded two…).

First, i must admit i’m not a sound guy, i’m a video editor.
For me, a long job is more than 3 weeks.
My normal rates then do not apply.

I never got the ’10 bucks an hour’ answer, as my clients know my rates beforehand.
But on long jobs, it happens a lot that working days get scattered for various reasons. Eg, I expect the freedome to take good paying rushjobs if they come up, they expect the freedome not to show up if it turns out to bee very good weather and need to shoot some additional footage.

The days of high end high pay studios are over, if we like it or not.
My suites were concidered small and cheap when i started out, nowadays i run the most expensive suites around here, and they have not changed much. (Except for normal updates on outdated software/hardware)
I used to compete with high end / high brow studios that were bashing NLE’s, now I have to compete with kids that run illegal versions on home made computers without additional hardware.

It’s not that my clients dictate, it’s more that the entire market dictates. I try to work with my clients in a way everyone is happy.

And that includes educating them to be more efficient. If they start with ‘this must be done cheap’, i start with ‘better be well prepared’
IOW, having a good relation with clients is the most essential part of my business. If that does not work anymore, i’m out of work.

well, last time i’ve worked on something similar, breath / mouth noises were accepted (and of course avoided during recording as good as possible).

Also, recording was done with punch in on a timeline, picking it up after a break / mistake so the end project was very closed to a finished piece.

So indeed, just contact the client and just have a nice chat of what he expects.

I’ve once made such a thing for Motion.
A Motion file is a simple XML file that can be altered to your liking.
So if you can create your titles with Motion, yes, it is possible.

Other text generators in FCP can be controlled as well, but Boris titles are hard to do.

Exactly what titles do you have, and in what format is your database?
