It does not matter, you get a motion adapter when you switch to interlaced.
Edit in interlace if you’re output has to be interlaced. This will render your effects interlaced, and that will look better on an interlace display.Bouke

Hi Kris,
This looks normal. You need to remap the colors.Download Subbits subtitler from my site (the free demo), and look it up in the manual.
There is a tutorial there how to do the mapping. However, not sure if PNG will work, I’ve always assumed you need 4 color TIFF files.
While you’re at it, see if there are 4 colors.
One transparant
One for title color
One for outline color
And the most important, one for anti-alias between title and outline .
(NOT between outline and bg, and leaving it out is only an option if you have multicolored subs.)hth,

Hmm, just saw here that Premiere can import SRT files as well.
That would make it simple….

Hi Russel,
Have a look at Subbits (free demo on my site).
It can create subtitles from text files in a lot of ways.
For Premiere, you can use CC, PNG’s with an EDL to link them to, or a QT with alpha (and tc) to overlay.Burning in is not (yet) an option, as it is not a normal workflow, but I could very easily make such a thing. But then your footage would double, so I think it’s wise to use sequences with subs as source.
(One of our national broadcasters uses this for exact the same thing, although they are on Avid…)

And there is my Loudness Change. (Get a free demo from my site).
It’s cheap, does not give you a graphical display, but does give a list with TC and very clear information on what is wrong on what point.hth,

What happens if you switch Encore to non-drop frame?
The difference you describe is exactly the drop / non drop time difference.

September 20, 2015 at 7:47 pm in reply to: AVID Media Composer user delivering a PRO RES video file with 4 audio tracks?Glenn,
For my trick you don’t even need a direct out. You could use one video track and multiple Wave (BWF) files if needed.
(Being way more flexible in making multiple versions.)
You know that exporting a Wave from a MC timeline gives you a BWF with timestamp corresponding to the sequence?Bouke

September 19, 2015 at 9:31 am in reply to: AVID Media Composer user delivering a PRO RES video file with 4 audio tracks?Creating ProRes on Windows is not widely supported, although not impossible.
Having 4 separate audio tracks instead of one poly is also not strange. (It’s the same as XDcamHD does.)Only option (besides going to a Mac) is my AUXtc reader.
It was not designed to do this, but it can transcode to ProRes and create 4 unique 24 bits mono tracks.
(import your file, check ‘merge on existing tc’, and export with correct patching and settings)https://www.videotoolshed.com/product/26/auxtc-reader
