canon c100 25psf interlaced delivery best option
Hello guys,
I have a project to set up and i need some advise for the workflow.
For an interlaced 1080i 50 output, considering most footage coming from a c100 25PF (i think canon mean 25psf)
is better to change the field motion to progressive and ingest (transcode via ama) as progressive P DNxHD or leave it interlaced?

It does not matter, you get a motion adapter when you switch to interlaced.
Edit in interlace if you’re output has to be interlaced. This will render your effects interlaced, and that will look better on an interlace display.Bouke

It’s really simple to create a 1080i50 signal from a 1080p25 sequence. That said, you’ll need to take into consideration whether or not you want your program to stay progressive all the way through. Meaning that there is a motion difference between any DVE moves, title rolls/crawls, wipes, pushes, etc. In 1080p25, these move in 25 steps/second, in 1080i50, these move in 50 steps per second (quite a bit smoother). Some broadcasters require titles be done in 1080i50.
