I am fairly new to subtitles with graphics and am not sure how to fix this issue.
I have a bunch of subtitles formatted as .son file with .png graphics attached. I imported them in DVD Studio Pro 4 but they are showing up with bright pink background when they are supposed to be transparent. I tried importing into a completely empty DVDSP project to see if it was just something from my current project causing it but no luck!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Kris,
This looks normal. You need to remap the colors.

Download Subbits subtitler from my site (the free demo), and look it up in the manual.
There is a tutorial there how to do the mapping.

However, not sure if PNG will work, I’ve always assumed you need 4 color TIFF files.

While you’re at it, see if there are 4 colors.
    One transparant
    One for title color
    One for outline color
And the most important, one for anti-alias between title and outline .
(NOT between outline and bg, and leaving it out is only an option if you have multicolored subs.)

    hth,

    Bouke
