Quickly fixing one section of an exported MOV file?

June 24, 2022 at 12:16 pmI do a lot of outputs and quality control of 23+ minute long episodes. This means if I catch an error — let’s say a very quick video mistake like a flash frame — I need to re-export the whole sequence, costing another half hour to output.
We’re curious if there is a software or clever way to quickly “overlay” a frame into an existing MOV file at a specific time to fix problems like that without the need to output the whole sequence again. I suppose this isn’t an AVID specific question, but that is the software we cut on.
I’m not super hopeful on this, since I imagine if there was a reliable way to do this, it would be common knowledge, but figured I’d ask.
Thanks!

June 24, 2022 at 2:30 pmCine X has an exact solution for this, I use it all the time. It’s amazing.

July 3, 2022 at 10:42 amThis will do the same, and is free. (But relies on Quicktime to be present, and is 32 bits, so it won’t run on Catalina or later.)
