is there any product or plug in out there that can refer to a database to update title information? i have a show that i produce twice per month, and the majority of the work is updating titles… there should be a way to do this automatically… sort of like a dynamic website. thoughts or ideas?
    thanks

I’ve once made such a thing for Motion.
A Motion file is a simple XML file that can be altered to your liking.
So if you can create your titles with Motion, yes, it is possible.

Other text generators in FCP can be controlled as well, but Boris titles are hard to do.

Exactly what titles do you have, and in what format is your database?

the show is a real estate show, and the database is generated from the local multi-list system… i used the csv export to get the data (PRICES, ADDRESSES, ETC.) to our server for a dynamic webpage.

i designed the template in motion, and use that template within fcp.

maybe i should post this in the motion forum?
    thanks
