I’m not exactly sure about spinning newspaper headline effect. But it sounds like you are trying to Rotate and Scale the object. It may be better to reset the track and start from scratch. Keep in mind that the Scale will work from the center of the object unless you are using “Scale Around Pivot” checkbox in the Pivot Tab which is available in the latest versions of our software. That will allow you to scale and rotate around the same arbitrary points.
Now I think I know the effect you are after.

November 23, 2009 at 12:12 pm in reply to: Will Boris FX work for a time-lapse morph type edit?Julie,
I think a simple 6 frame dissolve transition between 10 sec. clips will do the trick. I’ll be a poor salesmen and tell you that you do not even need Boris FX for it. Locking the camera in the same angle for for 3 months and choosing start-end frames to match your body position would make the animation a little more smooth.
Good luck with your project.

November 23, 2009 at 12:05 pm in reply to: BCC FX Plug Latest Update with Flicker and Blur — Installation?installer from the update page does not need a trial license. Not sure what happened to the autoresponder email from the trial download. Email gets filtered out sometimes. But you should be good to go with the 6.05 update installer.

November 22, 2009 at 2:23 pm in reply to: BCC FX Plug Latest Update with Flicker and Blur — Installation? It is a free update to BCC 6 FxPlug product. So if you own you can get a free update here
https://borisfx.com/updates/#null
and that installer will not ask for trial codes. It sounds like you downloaded a trial installer and that should be fine too. Just type in the trial code sent to you in an emai to run the installer. The license on your machine will remain intact.

Although Motion Key filter was not designed for this task you can try to apply a difference key with the original. I expect you may see problems with the edges but you can further refine the edges with a matte choker. In other words you’ll have to experiment. Good Luck.

Unfortunately, BCC 6 FxPlug does not support FCP 5.14. An older version BCC 5 that is compatible with FCP 5.14 can be obtained by contacting our sales lines at 888-77-BORIS or sales@borisfx.com
Hope this helps

September 23, 2009 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Looking for a way to remove objects that is NOT BorisI second the suggestion to try BCC Motion Key. It is designed to do just that without motion tracking by using our Optical Flow technology. There is a new tutorial by Kevin McAuliffe from Pro Editing @ Home

demonstrating removing one person from a backyard. Although, it is not as dramatic as removing multiple people from a busy street his results seem very clean. Good luck!
