Forget the wheels, I’m gonna put mine atop a Roomba that’s programmed to follow me around the house as I edit 3 8K streams using Magic Leap VR goggles.

Might need to move to a ranch house though…

…. and here’s the solution:
Clone the group and apply the filter to the clone. The Rasterization “mark” should disappear from the Blend Mode of the Clone. [If the group visibility check mark is still on – turn it off/uncheck it.]

For those reading; the solution is to simply apply any mask directly to the layer, not a group.

I’m sure there’s a good reason, but it eludes me. So I stopped hitting my head against the wall. 😉

Unfortunately the PSDs are used for a “paint reveal” effect, with “ink” first followed by color. The color layers use darken transfer mode.

I even searched for a plugin that offers darken mode, but no joy.

(PS – moral to the story is check the first approval file ALL THE WAY through the process. sigh.)
