I would guess that prince probably found the song, not the riaa.
inside info sez he has people that scour for music and any other stuff that has even remote prince copyright infringement (heard about a french comic book where prince is beating up michael jackson!)

thanx
yeah i hear ya!
its just that we want it now Now NOW!!! 🙂
I had heard that the way the P2 connects with the camera is kinda old technology (PCMCIA?)
and that in order for the cards to be competitiive with other tapeless media, thety would have to upgrade the way data is transfereed betwixt camera and card,
so i wonder if the 16 or 32gb cards are actualy going to be incompatible with existing cameras?
now again this is just an argument i heard, but one of the benefits of a faster card camera connection wojld be higher native frame rates, like 120 fps or 180 ie real slo mo!
just yakkin

thanx shane and all others
“P2 may not be for all situations”
I cna see that now, so why doesnt panasonic market the cameras so they can betape or tapeless?
like when beta first came out you got a deck that attached to the camera, allowing you to shoot with sony but record with pana, or whatever?

hello again
it used to be when i answered my own posts people thought i was talking to myself and should seek medical attention! 🙂
My producer is something of an old school guy, and does not want to be responsible for having to do all the p2 file copying etc, so, in his world, he would have to bring along a tech of some kind. he sees this as an added expense, and does not wan tto incur this.
therefore, my question has been answered.
thanx anyway

July 25, 2007 at 3:59 pm in reply to: moving CD audio/gfx to hard drive and cataloging it allBC
My son, who is all over the world of ipods, itunes, and mp3’s tells me that Windows Media Player has a Better Cataloging capability than Itunes, but i have yet to check it out.
Depending on the type of music, when you start importing your stuff, Itunes and other programs will search the internet and try and fine the titles etc, (i have had this work for some needle drop music, but not all)
There is a utility for importing an itunes playlist into FCP. its made by spherico and uses the XML
How about making an FCP project for all your sound? multiple comment feilds, and you can sift and find. just keep your project file on the same hard drive as the sounds
(its not like edit where we had to Jobnet bins and stuff)
hope these semi random tips can help you

Hi
“I personally can’t stand HDV” jeez walter, its always about you huh 🙂
but seriously. I relaize the thread is more about sound previewing, but if i had my druthers, id ruther have the 1500. its the same transport as the pro dvcam machine, so logging, capturing, and digitizing is gonna be tons faster, especially if you are cpturing to a different format, such as dvcprohd, and controlling the machine via rs422 9 pin
we have the m10u and its a boat anchor its so slow.
my 2.2 cents

Hi
generally:
timecode start at 59:57:00
fade up or cut in at 1:00:00:00
NDF
“2 beep” (single frame visual and sound marker) at 59:58:00
OR
sometimes TC at 00:00 for prebuilds and sub masters. no leader.
