Ive noticed that too, but, I think it is a matter of applying the cursor correctly when dragging to timeline when using H.264mov at 1920 x 1080p as you say does not happen to all.
I often close the project down and restart.
Recently has not been an issue ?
Have you upgraded to 5.5.2 ?

You could test drive Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 11 (really stunning video, but, download latest upgrades, impressive )and you do not need to use a dynamic link, most videos created from Export to Movie CS5.5.2 will go across depending on codec. But, I do find Encore 5.1 simpler using Dynamic Link ,( I agree a blu-ray burner in CS5.5.2 would be simpler) just wait while it brings Project over automatically.
I have done a dozen using Encore at very high quality using H.264 mov 1920 x 1080p fro a Canon 5D mark II as well as HDV/ mpeg-2 1440 x 1080i from a Canon Camcorder as good as tape Export, maybe better ?Freelance Imaging & Video

Try this link Cow’s Set up appears not to work, this will give you the information required.
If you have the CF Card it will be contained there, as far as I know in the camera displayed on the LCD under info .
Good luck

If you have access to the data of each shot, which will be shown in Canon Digital Photo Professional Software which came with the camera.
The information data can be nominated by the user as well as copyright information.Freelance Imaging & Video

May be worth checking out Tonal Curve Standard and High in Canon’s Software Canon Digital Photo Professional Software which should have come with the camera. This will allow you to Automatically extend the dynamic range ie., to highlight the pixels in the shadows and or highlights of the RAW images, ignore any jpeg images as pixels have already been thrown away to allow you to get more images on the card. Well that is for still anyhow, you may get more video information from Canon’s Zoom Browzer if you have set it up properly. or better still ask Canon Technical Service.
The dynamic range should be show on the graphs ?
