Hi, I’m running 5.5 and applying video effects to a bunch of clips in the timeline but a few of them won’t apply. Doesn’t matter if I drag and drop or paste attributes – nothing. It’s only happening on a few and the rest are fine. All the clips were shot on same camera at same time and imported together – basically they’re all the same settings but a few refuse to have effects applied? What am I missing? Any help would be much appreciated. I haven’t had this problem before.

What effects won’t apply? Where is your footage originating from? That are your timeline settings (fps and dimensions)?

Ive noticed that too, but, I think it is a matter of applying the cursor correctly when dragging to timeline when using H.264mov at 1920 x 1080p as you say does not happen to all.

I often close the project down and restart.

Recently has not been an issue ?

Have you upgraded to 5.5.2 ?

    Angelo & Bob,

Thanks for your replies. I found what I was doing wrong – I had multiple clips selected. Once I unselected them I was back in business. Had me stumped for a while. Thanks again.
