  • Does it show up as x16 in slot1 by itself? Are you using the same power connector when u swap it back and forth?

    Hey Daren,

    As you asked specifically about Alpha channel features, I can comment.

    I just completed 86 greenscreen vfx shots in Resolve. In 4 hours. Yeah, I’m using Resolve for keying and compositing.

    If I only had a few shots, I might have pre-graded in resolve, and used after effects and keylight to key. But I had 86 shots, which all needed motion tracked garbage mattes. It was actually better and faster to do the composites and keying in resolve. I built my keys with the panel, which was much faster to clean and preview. I used the motion tracker to build fast garbage mattes. I was previewing everything almost in realtime, and color graded the plates to match perfectly.

    I always hoped to one day do compositing in Resolve, but never thought it would actually happen this soon.

    The more important question here for me is if we can use Davinci to generate that LUT. In other words, load up primaries targets as media, build a 3D lut in resolve that makes them accurate, then export the LUT to the HDLIink. Still waiting on an answer for that one.

    Yeah, ran into this problem as well. Its definitely a bug in Davinci. I’ve seen it on R3D files pulled through an EDL. Going through an AAF or XML in the future (v8) will probably solve that problem as the clips will have UUID’s to link from instead. Of course I logged this with them months ago, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the core issue has already been solved in v8.

    wait, so if I wanted to build a lut that covered my primaries targets and gamma/whitepoint tweaks, I could build it in Resolve, and load it to my HDlink? Or is this more for using legalizing luts with full range mat’l?

    Which injector are you using with your card?
    I tried putting a GTX285 in one of my 2011 Mac Pro’s with 10.6.7, along with the netkas enabler and it never worked. (kernel is in 64 bit mode.)

    Are you using a different one?

    Robert, I have identical setup. Thats funny.

    Been thinking about 580 cards if I move to 3D. I’d love to swap EFI strings some time. Are you custom stringing your DSDT or just the normal mods?
