Hi Joe,
You are wise. I went and visited the link you provided, and noticed there wasn’t any “About Us” or “Contact Us” link. I then went to the “Helpdesk” link and noticed that on the right a “Contact Us” link, when you click on it, it simply bring you back to the same page that you get when you click on “Helpdesk” link.
I wouldn’t buy anything from that place, very odd.

Jim, you could try disabling, if it’s enabled, the DV Control. In the Sony Video Capture screen, select the menu Preference under Options, and the tab General. Unselect the first option that says “Enable DVD device control”, and try again.

Hi Frankie,
As John mentioned, there’s no option for that, but what I may suggest when you’re or your friend is adding a bunch of clips, is to zoom out of the timeline, if you expand the bottom scroll bar it will zoom out of the timeline. Yes the clips are harder to work with that small, but at least if you are at the stage of just adding a bunch of clips, it makes it more manageable.
Also, if you have a scroll mouse, you can use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out of the timeline.

Hi Kal,
You can split the clip before and after the one frame that you want, and delete everything before and after, then place the one frame where you want it on the timeline, then stretch it for as long as you want, only that one frame will play. You can copy and past that one frame also as many times as you want in your video, this way you don’t need to create an extra file for the frame/shot.

Hi Scott,
I would also be interested. I am located in the Ottawa, Canada area, but I have high speed internet access at home, I can setup an FTP server at home for you to upload the data, or get the data any other way you have it available, HTTP, VPN…
Thanks,

Hi Devin,
In the “Event Pan/Crop” window, on the right side, in the “Workspace” section, the first item is “Zoom (%)”, you can put in something like 13, and it will zoom out so that you should see your clip.

Hi Enrique,
When you export the menu as a Theme, DVD Architect creates a directory using the name of the theme, so for instance if you name your team MYTHEME, the directory will be called MYTHEME.THM, that directory is created under “C:\Documents and Settings\
\Application Data\Sony\DVD Architect Pro\4.5\Themes”. Please here I used my setup which uses Architect 4.5, I will assume 5.0 the directory up from Themes would be 5.0.
You can “probably” copy that directory (MYTHEME.THM) in the same location on your other computer and expect to see it in DVD Architect theme collection.
Thanks,
Bernard

Hi John,
I don’t know of anyway to feed the data from PICASA into Vegas directly, but you can use Vegas to add text to video.
Create a video track on top of the video track(or slideshow) you have with your JPGs. Then in that new video track, use the menu Insert, Text Media, from there you can enter whatever you want as text, colours fonts size… Leave the background the default black colour, that way the background will be transparent and not cover your JPGs. After you can always use the new feature you just learned, “Track Motion” to position EXACTLY where you want the text and the size, you could even have animate it, come in and/or leave the screen.
