yeah, if they have a video projector, you can probably just hook up a deck of your choosing to it. heck, most of the smaller festivals at sundance project dvds off of a 30 dollar walmart brand dvd projector.

I’ve done this numerous times…i agree, make sure to talk to the theater, check the projector..out put, and then WATCH THE OUTPUT MEDIA, if its a dvd, watch it on the dvd player that you are going to project it with, and if its a tape, watch it before you project on a tv. that way you wont have a surprise.

bring a backup, in fact, bring a VHS backup…it’ll save your arse. I flew with a friend out to tromadance 2004 in park city, and his dvd faltered….and yeah,we had to finish with a vhs tape, but at least we could screen!

google mactheripper…or just jack your dvd player into a dv deck, and capture as normal. its the quickest way of them all.

i would just render out your entire sequence to an HDV file, then print that to hdv.

I do a lot of dvd encoding, and i have found that the dvdstudio pro discs are quite simple to make. discs burnt in dvd-recorder decks…are a bit more proprietary.

i love roxio toast 7. just export a reference movie, select auto play, and there it goes. your already talking realtime to play out to a burner….just que it up before u finish for the day, and when u wake up, there it is.

toast7 is also a HECK of a lot faster then Idvd. a LOT faster.
