I have a dvd I have gotten from our editorial of cut footage I have shot. I am in Texas and they are in LA. I am in the process of color timing the footage and I want to experiment a little.
what would be the best method to rip the footage from the DVD to get into FCP? What would best codec to use?
I have a powerbook and a fast hard drive. Obviously, the true representation will be off , however, I need ideas on color continuity.
    thanks

Google MPEG Streamclip – great program, easy to use and it’s free.

google mactheripper…or just jack your dvd player into a dv deck, and capture as normal. its the quickest way of them all.
