Ended up getting a ATI 5770 (PC). The 5770 seems the best option.

Thanks, I meant that HD is in a different colourspace, something someone said on one of these forums. Anyway lets put this to bed. Ben

Thanks, so I would be better off trying to pick up a Grade 1 Sony BVM, I thought the Ike was a grade 1. I guess the Sony would also be a different colourspace.Monitor does not have a SDI;(.

I have not noticed the other forum. I will use it in future. Sorry,
    Ben

PS is there a way to get this thread moved there?

OK, so you are saying I should use composite not component for grading, what about s-video. I specificaly got a monitor and output card with component as I thought that was better.

  • Its not a tight deadline. I was thinking of giving it a few days and seeing how it goes. Is Premiere OK with this type of long form work?

Thanks, I thought there was a slightly more scientific way of doing it, something to do with the blue only setting.

I am using Component. By setup I mean setup the monitor (i.e. set the presets) not how to connect it to the computer.

Not seem anything is the v9 improvements that seem to indicate an improvement. I have Speedgrade as part of my CS6 bundle so may have to give that a look;).
