Apologies for cross posting but posted this to the Blackmagic forum yesterday without luck, figured people here may be able to help.

Hi, I have a Intensity Pro in my Mac Pro and am trying to get a component monitor working. I have it all connected but cant get a picture. Tried Media Express but whatever I tried to import it said it was not sported. Whats the easiest way to get it to output a signal to component? Googeling did not come up trumps.

My output settings are HDMI & Component, PAL with output processing off.

    Ben

PS Ultimately I will probably get another Graphics card to run the monitor but in the short term I have a Intensity pro and limited budget.

    Hey Ben,

If you have the desktop video driver installer handy have a look at the sample files provided. You can import them pretty quickly and you’ll be able to test the output of the card then.

They normally include bars and tone at different resolutions and frame rates so hopefully it will help!

I dont think they actually install but when you open the .dmg package you’ll see a folder called sample footage and you can just drag it from the installer to your desktop

    You’re output settings are fine.
It must be a setting from the application.

Can you test the output with FCP7 or FCPX, or Premiere?

    Or test the HDMI output.
