I do now;). It seems I have to do 1st pass and 2nd pass after that manually. Is there not a way of getting them both done back to back automatically?

    Regards, Ben

OK, ime using Vegas Studio Platinum Pro Pack’. I cant see a ‘Save as Type’ box but under the Project menu there is a ‘Render as’.
From here I can choose ‘video for windows’
From here I choose the ‘PAL DV Widescreen’ Template.
From here I click on Custom button and select Video Tab.
There is no xvid/vidx under video format.
Do I need to install something.

    Regards,
    Ben

  • Odd, I must have be in the wrong mode or something. When I press delete it does not work (I think it does nothing ;(.

Will Try the insert thing tonight, I guess what you are saying is you insert time then drag the clip into the gap. So I guess I need to know exactly how long the clip is.

Thanks, that kind of works. Are there any keyboard short-cuts associated with this. I would much rather tap a single key than point/click/drag with the mouse. There may be a longer learning curve but if it increases productivity significantly I don’t have a problem.

    Thanks for your help,
    Ben

I am sure you have tried this but “vegas multicam” in goggle gives you a few youtube tutorials. These may help.

By noise do you mean artifices causes by gain being turned up due to low light? Noise is a very general term and the more info you give the easier it is for people to help.

I am not entirely sure but seem to remember someone mentioning it somewhere, sorry cant be more specific. I have now reinstalled windows and everything is working AOK. I do know that Avid is fairly invasive as it expects to be the main thing running on the box (due to its cost this is normally the case). I think I may start a new thread to get to the bottom of this.

Which port does firewire use. 1394 sounds sensible so I am guessing it is something else;).
