I am a college Mass Communications major, Im not 100% savy with this industry yet. But anyways, my sister hired me to do her wedding video, as the night went on my video became more and more effected by video noise. I am desperately trying to find a cheap way to fix this problem. I do not have the money to buy Neat Video, I have downloaded the demo and love it, fixes my problem 100%, but with the demo comes the problem of having their logo throughout the entire video. Ive also tried Mike’s Crash although it does not fix the problem enough. So what I’m really asking is; is there anyway with Neat Video Demo to get rid of their logo, or is there any other free noise reduction software out there. I would absolutely love to buy neat video, but that is not an economical option for me right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

By noise do you mean artifices causes by gain being turned up due to low light? Noise is a very general term and the more info you give the easier it is for people to help.

You can take a look at newblue video essentials II.
There is an excellent noise reduction filter included
thats much faster than neat video.

Sorry, there is nothing free to help you with this.

Sorry not to have a solution, but I did want to point out at least that mainstream movies sometimes suffer from too much noise. One movie in particular, I think it was Pathfinder, I thought should have been renamed “The Vikings Who Forgot to Turn off the Gain.”

I’ve done a couple evening weddings, and it can be tricky dealing with low light. I was fortunate to at least have enough not to use gain; slowly adjusting the iris as the light dimmed prevented noise. Once it gets dark enough though, it’s impossible to avoid.

I hope you can find or get one of those plugins to work, I often wish there were more plugs types in general for Vegas.

Steve, does the New Blue noise reducer work as well as Neat Video? I saw where you mentioned it works faster, and that is a plus. Thanks, Jim
