Thanks for verifying VTRs like DSR-45, AJ-SD93, etc do not support Insert edits

Adrian : You may want to check the protocol you are using in the Device Control Presets

May I right to say that these VTRs will perform Insert edits, but not Assembly ?

What I found out is that you can perform Assembly edits, but not Insert, using Edit-to-Tape function

Adrian : Are you able to do Insert ?

Usually, we created 2 volumes for each client, Media + Render

The reason is, client B is able to capture material for client A, while client A continues working

I will split XServe RAID 1 into 4 LUNs, 2 on each channel; XServe RAID 2 into 4 LUNs too

On XServe RAID 1, I will take 1 LUN from each channel to create a volume, striping 2 LUNs across the 2 channels, creating 2 volumes in total

The HD station will have these 2 volumes

On XServe RAID 2, I will take 1 LUN to create 1 volume, 4 volumes in total

The 2 x SD stations will have 2 volumes each

Thanks for the advice

You are spot on

There are 2 DVI displays & the left display is set to Thousands of colors

However the Viewer + Canvas are on the right display, changing the option to Millions & the issue is gone

May I know if you experience the garbage issue when a filter is applied on the clip ? e.g color correction ?

Once the color correction filter is applied, the output becomes garbage, hence unable to use that

Wonder if anyone else has the same issue & found a solution ?
