We use a BCF2000 in our Audio post with Nuendo. I plugged it into FCP 6 and it worked straight away as an audio mixer control surface.
What would have been great was if it worked as a control surface in Color; being able to adjust multiple parameters at the same time. So now we gotta go buy a Tangent that costs $5000…. I wonder if the trackerballs work as faders in FCP?!?

You can export a AAF file from Premiere and import that into ‘AVTRANSFER’ and then get it to create an OMF file (but be prepared to take out that bank loan!)

When I go to the settings in Color and select the external monitor it shows all the Aja IO settings but they are greyed out and can’t be selected. Only a fool would colorgrade off a computer screen! (well at least for broadcast television)

I am in Sydney also…. I installed FCS2 last week and all my past projects seem to load and function fine…. surprising but I do come from a PC background!

well on the same topic but a different subject… as part of my FCS2 instal I updated to the latest OSX. As I am new to MAC is it my imagination or did Apple change the way the DVD drive ejects? I remember it use to be instantaneous but now I have to hold my finger on the eject key for a second or so…..

You have to set the sequence to 5.1 and pan 1+2 to the front and 3+4 to the rear.

Just go into the menu and select the output format.

Just set the deck to output 50i and capture the SD downcoverted output into you PAL project. I capture as DV via the SDI connector when using our HDCAM 1800 or the firewire output of our HDCAM JH3 deck. If you do it this way it outputs the correct format with a 4% speed difference.
