  • Hey there,

Awesome that you’re still using V13! I used that version for a long time myself before switching and it worked great for me.

Have you tried using the Video Bus track to apply effects? This basically applies the effect to all your tracks.

As far as I know, there isn’t an easy way in V13 to apply the same effects to multiple specific tracks at once. But if your goal is to add the effect to everything together, Video Bus is the way to go!

Hey! Could you try navigating to Options and see if Quickfade Audio Edits is enabled? That might be the cause. ^^

  • Hey there!

Baskeh here, happy to help you with this
What did you use to create the border? Was it an effect, media generator or something else?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Just to double check, have you enabled GPU Acceleration? ^^

And you should be! Total nonsense that your new PC can’t handle simple tasks like this. Definitely depends on Vegas. Performance issues have been around for quite some time now. Really hoped Vegas 22 would have improved in this area as well, but it doesn’t seem like it has gotten any better.

I believe the Volume Ducking effect was introduced in Vegas 20. You can do this manually if you want. It’s however definitely not the most efficient way of doing it, but at least it works. 🙂

Pressing V will activate the volume line on your audio tracks. Double clicking on the line creates a key point. You can right click the key points to set a specific volume, choose fade type etc…

    Good luck!

I experience this every day and my PC isn’t half bad. (RTX 3060 12GB, 32GB RAM, Intel 11th Gen i7-11700k)

A quick way around this is to select the portion on the timeline you want to preview with a loop region, and pre-render that section by pressing Shift+B.

I’ve tried optimizing Vegas many times, but without success regarding the laggy playback.. If I figure out a way around this in the future I’ll post it in this thread!

That’s unfortunate… I had high hopes for this solution.

I’d revert back to your original settings just in case. No need to create new problems on top of this one. Vegas can be very unpredictable 😛

I don’t have any other suggestions for now, but I’ll do some research to see if anyone else has run into this and try to recreate the issue myself.

In the meantime, let’s hope someone else jumps in with ideas, or that Vegas just magically fixes itself (because let’s be real, that happens sometimes. Vegas in a nutshell haha).

Got it, sounds like a solid plan. Definitely curious to hear if switching windows earlier makes a difference.

I hear you! there are countless factors that can cause glitches. Always a mystery what the cause could be in Vegas. Been like that for as long as I can remember haha!

    Looking forward to hear more!

Sorry, that’s on me! They changed the name of the function to Legacy AVC some versions ago. The option is still available under Preferences > File IO.

How did the new printing attempt go with the RAM set to 0?
