oh man i think i’m just getting this…

so with the hvx200 i will essentially no longer be editing in a 29.97 timeline at all ?

i will either decide to shoot in 480/60 or a 59.97 timeline
or hd (dvcpro) which is 23.98 ?

i think this would solve alot of my confusion if this is correct ha !

so far no go…

the funny thing is it stops at exactly the same spot and than picks up at the same spot
so i thought it was my video…but it works fine when it’s not embeded

i’m not really familiar with that camera as well
but main question is or would be if the situation presents itself
if i did have a true letterbox piece of video what would i do to make sure
that it came out in quicktime let’s say so that the black bars were not showing ?

so if the lights we use for talent now are a comb of lowells and arri’s
will i have problems using floresent lighting to light the chroma wall ?

we are being hired to shoot a segment in what they would like to be a “reality” based show

i think they are looking for as much natural conversation to happen as possible…

picture 10 loud men sitting at a table randomly conversating over dinner !

no i fully understand….and i really appreciate all the great advice.

my problem is that i left my on-air television career after 12 years…
this is my 5th year trying to get a quality production facility together…
and it just seems like everytime that i get ahead…i have to spend another 500-1000 dollars!

i actually thought that upgrade was for folks that had the intel chip in their computers…
so i didn’t even think about upgrading at that point !

oh well…i continue to learn….let’s just hope it doesn’t bankrupt me !!!

actually i’ve had the fcp upgrade for a year…but we’ve been in project mode forever and i never got around to the upgrade…my fear has been…that once i upgrade…something fierce would happen and all my old files would be corrupt as some level.

they are 160 gb drives

a 50 % full drive could cause drops ? i’ll have to readjust my workflow than !
