Yes it does, thank you very much. I am in the process of rendering a huge sigh of relief for output.

Yes, since HD is natively anamorphic, I assumed he was talking about wide angle lens- if I am mistakened, I truly apologize for my idiocy.

Cavision has some lens that are HVX-200 adaptable..

I have the 0.6x which works fine for me although it does have minor vignette distortions if you work in tight spaces.

You also need to remove the matte box that comes with the HVX.

    >>>make sure you get the optional component I/O board (IF-C101CMG) for the monitor.<<< That adds about $5-600 to a monitor that is already $700, is there a moderately priced monitor out there that bypasses this and is good enough to use as color and lighting proofing? Thanks..

This begs the question: if you switch from 720p24 to 720p24PN in the same setup (easy setup for 720p24), will this affect anything??

Got it. Thanks. Was looking for an easy way to burn DVD for review-

    FCP 5.1.4
    OS X 10.4.8
    G5 2.66 GhHz Dual-core Intel Xeon
    Panasonic AJ-PCD20
    HVX-200
    1 TB Lacie ext. HD

Exporting: I think Export> QT movie and straight to iDVD, and from there “one step DVD from movie”

What is an ideal way of burning a DVD with 720p24 footage that retains quality on SDTV? (I do this for feedback on the film I’m making).

    Thanks.

    FCP 5.1.4

    1 TB Lacie ext. HD

Got it. Thanks for the tip!

  • Yes I have the HD cinema monitor from Apple.

I followed instructions and it seems to work fine now. I also Sequence>settings and loaded sequence preset 720p24.

I guess the key is to open a new sequence AFTER the easy setup has been established??

    Thanks!
